Outit privacy policy
Your outfits stay yours.
Outit is an offline outfit diary for iPhone. It has no account, server, analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs. Nima Gharib does not receive your photos, notes, or app activity.
Information stored on your iPhone
When you save a look, Outit stores the photo you choose, its name and notes, and the dates and contexts you assign. It also stores occasions, plans, and optional reminder settings in the app's private storage on your device.
Photos and camera
You choose individual photos with the iPhone system photo picker. Outit requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo. Imported photos are resized and re-encoded, which removes the original file's location metadata from the copy Outit stores.
Visual comparison
When you check a look, Apple's on-device Vision framework can rank visually close photos from your saved history. Outit does not upload photos for this comparison. Lighting and backgrounds can affect the ranking.
Backups, exports, and sharing
Your iPhone's backup settings may include Outit data in a device backup managed by Apple. If you export your data, Outit creates a ZIP file containing your look records and photos and opens the iPhone share sheet. You choose where that file goes. Keep exports private because they contain your photos and notes.
Notifications
Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. You can change or turn them off in Outit Settings or iPhone Settings.
Deletion and restore
You can delete a single look and its associated wear records and plans, or erase all Outit data in Settings. Deleting app data does not delete copies you have separately exported or backups controlled by your iPhone backup settings. Restoring an Outit ZIP replaces the current diary only after you confirm.
